When you create a safety report, we store:

- Your user ID (to allow you to manage your reports)

- Navigation: To provide accurate walking directions
- Safety Features: To display community-reported safety information
- App Improvement: To understand how users interact with the app
- Account Management: To maintain your profile and saved data

We do NOT sell your personal data.
Your data may be shared in these limited circumstances:
- Safety Reports: Report locations are visible to all users (without personal identification)
- Service Providers: We use Supabase for secure data storage and Mapbox for maps
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect safety

Your data is stored securely using:
- Supabase: Cloud database with encryption at rest
- HTTPS: All data transmitted is encrypted
- Row Level Security: You can only access and delete your own data

- Account Deletion: Request complete deletion of your account
- Opt-out: Disable location services (note: this will limit app functionality)
6. Data Retention
- Account data is retained until you delete your account
- Safety reports may be automatically removed after a period of time to keep information current
- Navigation history is not permanently stored
7. Children's Privacy
OnFoot is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
